One of the things we get super excited about at Treehaus is cool new art!
It is part of our mission to find and give a platform to new local artists. To that end we have a bi-monthly art opening in our Atwater Village Boutique Shop
Another part of our mission is to give back to our community. Saralynne and I met at a therapy for our sons on the autistic spectrum. We are very thankful for all the support we’ve received and have a strong drive to pay it forward. We’ve paired our art openings with fundraising for local charities, which meets two of our goals. Two birds/one stone. Also, we get to drink bubbly, have fun with art-lovin/philanthropic neighbors and friends, and we showcase some awesome art… so I guess many birds/1 stone. Long story short we don’t like to waste stones and we like killing lots of birds. But I think I’ve gotten off track.
I wanted to blog about our next art opening with Morgan Hanner. Here she is looking fab!
Her art show “Eastside Love Letter” conveys much of what we love about the Eastside. The rich mix of industrial landscape, nature and wildly diverse architecture.
You can see this mix at play in many of her paintings. Also, the play of light/shadow and color/mood are prominent.
